Bongcheon Chess Club

BCC(Bongcheon Chess Club) is the most active chess club in Korea. We play regularly on Sundays. We are affiliated with USCF(United States Chess Federation) and Russia's Tchigorin Chess Club

Saturday: Junior chess club 10:30AM
Sunday: Chess club meeting 10:30AM

* Sunday meeting welcomes everyone who enjoy chess. Sunday tourney is played Round-robin/QUAD or SWISS system according to number and level of participants. If you don't feel like to play at tourney, you can still play individual matches.

* Saturday junior club starts 10:30AM, entree fee is 20,000KRW

봉천체스클럽(BCC : Bongcheon Chess Club)은 서울에서 모이는 체스클럽입니다.

저희는 2001년부터 매주 일요일 빠짐없이 모여오고 있는 체스클럽으로서 전국에서 2010년 현재 가장 활발한 체스클럽입니다. 강좌, 다면기, 정기토너먼트등을 진행하고 있습니다.
매주 일요일 참가자의 수와 수준에 따라 라운드로빈이나 스위스 토너먼트(club-rated)가 진행됩니다. 보통 수준은 초심자부터 프로레벨까지 다양하며 개별친선매치를 원하시는 분들도 따로 체스를 두실 수 있습니다.
저희 체스클럽은 USCF(미국체스협회)에 속해 있으며 미국의 마샬체스클럽, 러시아의 치고린체스클럽등과 교류하에 있습니다. 영국의 체스챔피언 GM Nigel Short을 비롯하여 김 알렉세이, GM,IM등 많은 체스명인들이 찾아주셨습니다. 미국의 맨해튼 체스클럽과 뉴욕 마샬체스클럽의 운영진분들, 프랑스 BNP Parinas의 은행장님 많은 유명인사분들이 체스교류차 BCC를 방문하셨습니다.

이 클럽은 기본적으로 체스애호가들의 자원과 기부에 의하여 운영되고 있으며 영리를 목적으로 하지 않습니다. 클럽의 조직과 지역사회에의 기여등 여러분야에서 도움이 필요하므로 도움주실 분은 언제든지 연락주시기 바랍니다.

장소: 2호선 봉천역 2번출구 앞 하나은행 2층에 있습니다.

클럽스케쥴

매주 토요일 - 쥬니어체스클럽 (초등생 대상, 2만원)
매주 일요일 - 참가자에 따라 오전 10시30분 : 토너먼트 A조(상급조) B조(중급조) C조(초심자조)로 나뉘어서 토너먼트.

* 마지막 게임이 끝날때까지 모임시간은 연장됩니다.

클럽의 규칙

토너먼트참가비- 1만원(회원) 2만원(비회원)
개별대국은 무료입니다. 하지만 클럽운영을 위해 카페에서 음료를 주문부탁드립니다.
경기자에게 불쾌감을 주는 행위, 경기중 훈수나 조언등을 하시는 분은 퇴장될 수 있습니다.
상업적 목적으로 클럽을 찾는 것을 금합니다.
주의산만한 어린이는 항상 보호자의 주의를 부탁드립니다.
참가하시는 분들의 소지품은 카페측이나 토너먼트관리자등이 책임지지 않습니다.

* 쥬니어 체스클럽

매주 토요일 아이들을 위한 체스강좌가 있습니다. 

쥬니어체스클럽은 체스를 좋아하거나 배우고 싶은 초등생들을 대상으로 한 강좌입니다.

 아이의 수준정도를 대략 말씀해주시는 것이 체스클럽조직에 도움이 됩니다.

Club rule

The club is operated basically by volunteers.
Chess equipments are provided without charge but please observe the rules below.

For those who are not participated in tourneys, it is advised to order a drink from Caf'e. it is not mandatory but it helps maintaining chess meeting.
Tourney starts on 10:30AM on gathering of minimum number of participants.(4-5) Norminal fees are collected.
Children who cannot follow common club rules must be attended by guardian.
Organizers/directors are not responsible for lost items.

We will do best to hold USCF tournament on 4 or more USCF players are available.

Newcomers are always welcome. We are the first and the most active chess-only club in South Korea.

The strength of most players are probably rated 1400-1900.

Every sunday, there's small chess tournament. First sunday of each month is club's regular tournament.
